About Us

Potteiger Meats is a deer meat processing facility located near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We specialize in the full service skinning, cutting, processing, vacuum sealing, and freezing of your wild game. Our time-honored recipes and smokehouse flavor have kept our customers returning since 1972.
Our services and products are based on preserving a heritage of traditional processing and timeless recipes to make your game the quality product you expect. We're avid, local hunters with a deep knowledge of wild game. We set out to craft products of uncompromising standards by using only the finest, local ingredients.

Includes your deer Skinning, Cleaning, Cutting, Vacuum Sealing & Freezing.

Cape for Mounting – $25 extra

If the deer cannot be brought into Potteigers immediately after field dressing, we highly recommend stuffing the cavity full of ice until you can make it in.

The general cutting we strive to have done in several days. The remainder of the processing depends on the variety of products you ordered.

Absolutely. We don't accept deer that have not been field dressed.

Yes! We will arrange the best time with you to meet at the shop.

We always recommend Rod over at Outback Taxidermy in York Springs, PA. Save a trip by choosing us for your processing needs and he'll pickup your trophy game from our shop!

We make everything right here in house the old school way! Our smokehouse is one of a kind that has been producing the time-tested flavor Potteigers is known for.
